I am a contester, but I do not know of any other Hot Springs/Benton/Little Rock area contest group.
I live in Hot Springs National Park. I just bought a mountainside home with more than plenty room for antennas for all bands. HASL is about 900' on the south side of Music Mountain.
I plan to have a double sloper up for 160/80, 3 el wire inverted vee yagi for 40M pointed toward the Pacific...a 1/2wave ground plane vertical on 40M, a 3 element wire beam for 20M, 3 element aluminium yagi on 10M.
There is area for in-house shack and another seperate out building for yet another all-band shack. There is an extra room for copping some ZZ's and yet more property I own (empty almost half acre lot) across the street for a RV owner with a rig and plenty of 80' trees next to the National Park for antennas.
I have an amp, but am selling it (MLA-2500) for a more modern amp.
I'll have most of the antennas up and ready to go by early Spring.
Are there any other contesters interested in putting together a "Central Arkansas Contesters Group"?
This might be the first for all I know.
I do not have a working VHF/UHF station, but the location SCREAMS for any band. It's line of sight all the way to Oklahoma.
I do both CW and SSB contests and have wallpaper to prove winning contests in both.
Anyone interested?
Please contact me direct or on this thread.
Let's put something together!
