eQSL membership cost question Reply
by KF6QEX on January 27, 2009 Mail this to a friend!
Short version: What is the cost for each membership level?

Long version: The information is not available unless you register. Although it's a "free" registration, all I want to know is the cost for each level of membership.
I would like the information without contributing to the statistic of registered users.

...and before the thread gets derailed, I'd like to leave the pros and cons of eqsl out of this, I just want to know what the cost of each membership level is :)

So please if you know, post , if you don't please don't :)

Any donation in the past 12 months gets you "Bronze".
$30 or more within 12 months gets you "Silver", and $200 or more within anytime in the past gets you "Gold" level membership.

Don't forget Regular Membership
Free of charge. All basic services:

* Upload ADIF logs or manually enter log information
* Select one of 2 different card design styles
* Select from a wide variety of card graphics
* Notifications of new eQSLs arriving
* Ability to print incoming eQSLs on your local printer

Many users have regular membership and help others by confirming QSOs through EQSL, preferably with "Authenticity Guaranteed" status. But with only the regular membership you can't upload a custom graphic for a unique QSL card and you can't receive any awards until you upgrade to Bronze or above.

eQSL is junk. Totally a waste. I made up 2 fake calls, and have just over 100 DXCC countries on each. Nice & regulated, huh?

How is that possible that you have over 100 dxcc cards on a fake call? Did you upload your log under a fake callsign and that many people approved the cards without looking/checking?

Yes, it happens that some people just automatically approve everything that they see in their eQSL inbox.

Some don't care.

I had an entry in my inbox a few weeks back from last Field Day. Problem was, I wasn't on the air at the time the QSL allegedly took place, and when I was QRV, it was at my club station. So I rejected it as "not in log."

The guy who posted that log on behalf of his club lit into me for making him do extra effort for daring to reject the club entry, obviously on my mistake. Didn't I know I was ruining their "perfect" 100% confirmed log?

*sigh*
