WriteLog/RTTYrite and PSK Reply
by KG6MZS on April 13, 2009 Mail this to a friend!
Hello All;

Last year our little emergency group here in Topanga, California did Field Day for the first time and had a blast - even though NONE of us had ever set up Field Day stations.

We used N3FJP's software for all the SSB stuff and it worked just fine but we used MixW for the PSK end of it. Getting the two logs together was a hassle so the group is looking at WriteLog.

I'm the only guy in the group that is comfortable in the digital modes. I started with Digipan and moved to MixW to get better logging abilities. I now use Ham Radio Deluxe and love it. The point here is I've successfully used a variety of software for the digital modes so I'm no luddite.

That being said I have not been able to figure out RTTYrite.

Is anybody in here using Writelog/RTTYrite for digital contesting? If so, are there ant tricks to it? The PSK interface looks extremely primitive to me. I'm used to a waterfall and some tuning aids. I don't see any of that in RTTYrite.

Any help would be appreciated.

TIA

Hi Rod;

Thanks for the reply. Have you actually used Writelog/RTTYrite for PSK?

Eric
