Ethics and character in ham radio Reply

We are all members of a great fraternity, and relied on in emergencies to serve the public. We are not CB'ERS and a certain behavior or demeanor should be upheld in our every day lives.
I don't think breaking a written purchasing contract, and not responding in any way (hiding) is part of our fraternity.
Should be involved in this forum.

He who goes to the bank with the money wins.....

Let the buyer be ware....

I have bought things from this web on the classified.

Some are good but most are not what you had in mind. Even with a picture of the item... what you se is not sometimes what you get. And when you question the seller he always has some lame excuse for not including the whole package.

Others think your a store and when they don't like what you have sold them or its "not what I thought I wanted" they want you got give them back their money.

I usually laugh at that one.

The worst is when a ham buys a radio, takes it home, and then returns it a week later saying it doesn't work. (this after you bench tried it out and know it did) In this case they removed a PL board from the radio that was hard to find, put it into a second radio they already had bought without the pl board, and returned mine saying it doesn't work.

I took it back, opened it up and sure as noticed the PL board gone... I got on the radio and asked them to return it... they don't know what your talking about... and shun you. (for a $20.00 PL board I got the radio back working again and sold it to another who is enjoying it... most hams can't work on radios either anymore so they steal stuff)

You try to be honest and upstanding which gets you screwed every time.

New motto... where is .. as is .. no returns...
and...

He who has the money wins.

Ham radio has changed along with the new licenses'
