Great little rig

Time owned: more than 12 months

I paid half the rate for this little guy on a close-out. The 10 watts was plenty when fed into an elevated vertical mounted on the back deck of the house here in the Midwest. I worked several Europeans and Alaska with it last year. I have not used it mobile. The rig is simple to use and nicely made inside. If you have an older HF rig without 10 FM, find one of these and go for it. An excellent performer, but a little pricey at orginal going rate because of single band/single mode.

Awesome Value

Got this rig for $90 on ebay. Yea, the power is pretty low. 20-30 would have been nice. But, 10 meters is forgiving enough to get you anywhere on low power when conditions are right.
All considered, its a great used value, but not worth its MSRP. I enjoy FM alot also.

Good rig for the money

Nice little radio for 10FM. easy to use and small enough to fit just abt anywhere. Used mine mobile until I installed a 706Mk2G. MAJOR drawback is the 10 watt output. 20-25 sure would have been nice. Rig is now sitting on the shelf until I decide what to do with it.

GOOD PERFORMER

I bought a DRM03 at the London Ham Radio Show in November 2001. It is very small and fits neatly in my car in place of an ashtray which I removed. The microphone cable however is much longer than the one supplied with the DRM06 6 metre rig. Using a K40 antenna on a mag mount I have worked Malta, Russia, Ukraine and Estonia. A smashing little rig - the only drawback is that it runs only 10 watts (25 or more would be better). The special Show Price of only £149 made it excellent value for money.

Excellent Value

Excellent value. Have "worked the world" with the little 10 watter into a 5/8 vertical.
Small size and low price combined with easy programming make the DR-M03 a top
choice for 10FM. Just ordered a 2nd unit to run full time in the car.
Highly recommended along with the identical DR-M06 (6FM).
